WP7 SG2 Position paper on how to decide on the appropriate study design for AEG available

WP7 Subgroup 2 is pleased to announce the publication of the Position paper on how to decide on the appropriate study design for primary research arising from HTA reports.

This document is one of two WP7 SG2 methodological documents aiming to help HTA authors/systematic reviewers in defining their recommendations for Additional Evidence Generation (AEG).

This position paper discusses the role of the HTA author/systematic reviewer in specifying study design by considering current practice in Europe and beyond. It is not intended to replace an epidemiology or clinical trials textbook but to provide consideration of various issues around designing primary research arising from a systematic review type HTA reports.
