1 March 2013, Ecorys submitted the final draft report for an economic and governance analysis of the establishment of a permanent secretariat for the European cooperation on Health Technology Assessment (HTA).
The report was commissioned by the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (EAHC) to prepare for the action stated in Article 15 of Directive 2011/24/EU of the European Parliament and Council of 9 March 2011, on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border health care.
The aim of the report is to conduct an economic and governance analysis on the solutions for a set-up of a permanent secretariat for future cooperation in the field of HTA.
The report is based on information provided by the European and international HTA community including stakeholders from industry, health professionals, patient representatives, national governments and European organisations.
The EUnetHTA Secretariat has provided information and data on existing cooperation in the field of HTA in Europe.
