The conference Health Technology Assessment in national and cross-border healthcare in Europe was organised within the framework of the EUnetHTA Joint Action (2010-2012) by the Agency for Health Technology Assessment, AHTAPol, Poland and Health Care Insurance Board, CVZ, Netherlands with the support of the EUnetHTA Secretariat. The main focus of the conference was on the current achievements of the EUnetHTA Joint Action (2010-2012). It aimed to provide ample opportunities for a debate on the current and future role of the European HTA collaboration in policy-making on national and cross-boarder healthcare.
Conference programme and information about the speakers EUnetHTA conference was attended by 275 participants from HTA agencies, ministry representatives, and stakeholders representing patients’ organisations, payers, health providers and industry. The conference was attended by the European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection, John Dalli, who expressed the Commission aims at enhancing the cooperation between the EU Member States in the field of HTA.
Pre-conference meeting Before the official opening of the conference, Commissioner Dalli had a meeting with heads of HTA in member states to discuss the implementations of the Directive on patients' rights in cross-border healthcare.
