EUnetHTA Joint Action on HTA (2010-2012)

The EUnetHTA JA is a response to the request by the EU Commission and EU Member States in the Work Plan 2009 of the Health Programme to continue fostering the development of HTA in Europe. The EUnetHTA JA builds on the methods and tools developed by the EUnetHTA Project while also including the work done in the Working Group on Relative Effectiveness of the High Level Pharmaceutical Forum. EUnetHTA Project (2006-2008)

In 2004 the European Commission and Council of Ministers targeted Health Technology Assessment (HTA) as “a political priority”, recognising “…an urgent need for establishing a sustainable European network on HTA”. A Commission call was answered in 2005 by a group of 35 organisations throughout Europe, led by the Danish Centre for HTA (DACEHTA) in Copenhagen. Read more...
